Europe: huge deficit of solidarity and xenophobia surplus

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

Monetary union remains insensitive to the urgent needs of refugees and migrants, failing to comply with their responsibilities -clearly declared in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, year 2000- and drastically reducing the aid for development.

Europe, which should be not only exemplary responsible of their social duties but also a watch tower and reference at global level, is subordinated to the economic dynamics of the "markets". Without accurate guidelines well observed throughout the Union in relation to xenophobia, fanaticism, racism, nazism... we could see ourselves headed towards a future of extreme violence behavior for not  having learned well the lessons of the past.

If these trends are not straightened out with firmness and courage, and a political and economic Union is set and firmly established, the European
dream will fade out progressively.

Yes: the solidarity deficit is the one that should really concern us because of the unacceptable attitudes of isolationism and extremism that generates.
