“Compelled to rebellion"

The second paragraph of the Preamble of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that if you cannot fully exercise the rights that are inherent to them, the human beings "may be compelled to rebellion."

Take care of the "people", to face the great challenges "inventing” solutions.

There is revolution if there is no evolution. If the basic needs of human existence are not satisfied, the voice to cry and the cry to rebellion occur.

And the matter is that:

-Growing inequalities are unacceptable.

-It is unacceptable that thousands and thousands of people die every day of hunger, most of them children from 1-5 years of age, while are invested in weapons and military expenditures over 3 billion dollars.

-It is unacceptable that, according to OXFAM, 85 persons have the wealth equivalent to half of humanity.

-It is unacceptable that every day the deterioration of the environment increases, affecting the habitability of Earth.

-It is unacceptable that global governance is in the hands of plutocratic groups (G-6, G-7, G-8, G-20).

-It is unacceptable that tax havens are overfilled more than ever instead of being closed.

-It is unacceptable that politics are subordinated to economic interests.

-It is unacceptable that the markets, in a submitted Europe, have come to appoint governments without polls in the cradle of democracy.
 
-It is unacceptable that competitiveness is not based on knowledge and innovation but in progressively reduced salaries...

Therefore, it is urgent:

-To establish a democratic multilateralism, the United Nations System re-foundation, giving it the appropriate representation (“We, the peoples...”) and personal, financial and technical resources. This is the great leadership that humanity is expecting.

-The solution is more and better democracy at global, regional and local levels.

-The habitability of Earth is deteriorating and it is urgent to replace an economy of speculation, productive delocalization and war by a knowledge based economy for a global, sustainable and human development.

- To transit from a culture of imposition, domination and violence to a culture of encounter, reconciliation, peace and alliance.

- A huge public outcry led by the scientific, academic, artistic... communities must rise in order that radical changes take place before points of not return are reached.

-The “new beginning" that the Earth Charter promulgates cannot be delayed.

The walls and fences of shame

High fences with sharp wall razors. Walls, especially mental, for rejecting those who escape from war and hunger.

Italy and Lampedusa. Spain and Ceuta and Melilla. They are the gateway to Europe . Of the unsupportive Europe. From the Europe of the markets. Of the monetary Union without economic and political union.

Europe is unable to promote the fully exercising of human rights. Europe is unable to accomplish its intergenerational responsibilities (“The greatest and most pressing engagement," according to President Nelson Mandela).

The Arctic is melting; the habitability of Earth is changing; thousands of people living in extreme poverty and dying of starvation every day ... It's a daily genocide that we do not take care of. On the contrary, we isolate them with fences and abandonment, while over 3 billion dollars are invested everyday in weapons and military spending.

The solution is the endogenous development of the poorest and most impoverished countries.

The solution is, rapidly, leaving the plutocratic groups and re-founding the democratic multilateralism.

Europe only helps financial institutions.  It should help people. It should fully respect human rights.  It should lead to radical changes that markets will not   carry out.

Soon there will be European elections.  What do the candidates pretend? Do they think fostering major changes or just think to have a post of deputy and everything will remain the same?

-Never trust the future to those who can speak only about the past…. of others.

-Daring to know and knowing how to dare. The risk without knowledge is dangerous.  Knowledge without risk is useless.

-Be you the change (Mahatma Gandhi).

-The human rights are inherent. No one grants them.  They are only recognized.

- Only those who planted seeds of love and hope regardless of the harvest are making possible a new world.

- Every unique human being able to create, to invent their future, to dis-cover the light paths of tomorrow. In this distinctive ability lies the confidence of clarifying today’s somber horizons.

- In summary, the academic, scientific, artistic… intellectual communities should lead the great mobilization and popular outcry of the historical turning from the force to the word that is coming.

-Before coming into politics, moral integrity is first required, then intellectual freedom, and afterwards social rebellion (Manuel Vicent, May 11, 2014).

-It is improper to look the other way when some persons cannot forget and others do not want to remember. Forgetting is impossible. Reconciliation, taking into account future generations, is not (inspired by a letter of Boaventura de Sousa Santos).

-It is a pity that thinking that you could do very little you do not try to do anything. (Edmundo Burke).

-Always remember, especially the wealthy, that shrouds do not have pockets.

-They were despised because when they could do so much they only dare to do so little (Albert Camus).

-To be happy, never accept what you deem unacceptable.

-The time for silence is over. And the submission. And so being spectator and not actor. The time of great transition from subjects to citizens approaches
